The Past 24 hours have really been difficult to digest all what happened in Tucson Arizona.Senator Gabrielle Giffords was shot along with 19 other Americans. 6 people died and my heart grieves for those who have died.
Tonight, I became aware of a couple who had been married 50 years who were both shot in this terrible tragedy.
The wife did not make it but the husband did.
That was difficult for me, there is zero justification for any of this. The 9 year old girl who was there to experience the greatness of our American Government now will tragically become a martyr on behalf of it.
I did learn of some hero's who displayed that heroic action under fire demonstrating the greatness of the American spirit.
My wife and I both watched Clarence Dupnik, sheriff of Pima County try to politicize this event blaming Fox News (Bill O'Reily), Conservative Talk Radio Hosts like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.Liberal News agencies quickly began to report this without having a shred of evidence.
It seems that the the "accused", Jared Lee Loughner was no where close to being associated with Christian conservative persuasions.
On the contrary, it is reported that his favorite book was the "Communist Manifesto". He also is reported to have said that he would not "trust in God". He had a shrine of a skull in his back yard.
In other words, he was a deranged nut.
For the Sheriff and the Liberal left wing to use this tragedy for political gain is irresponsible.
This certainly falls into a national witch hunt by the liberal left wanting to hurt Sarah Palin and others who had nothing to do with the events of Arizona, no more that the very left wing rhetoric that went after President Bush just a few short years ago.
If I recall, didn't they even produce a movie about an assassination of President Bush? Yes, they did. Please let the family and the nation grieve for those who died, for their families, and those struggling to survive.
